Ammo Overview

Quantity - 500 rounds per box
Manufacturer - Winchester
Bullet - 42 grain copper plated hollow point (CPHP)
Casing - Rimfire-primed brass

Power Point Ammo is one of Winchester’s most widely known ammunition product lines. The M42 type .22 Long Rifle is the heaviest rimfire bullet that Winchester currently produces. It is built using a 42 grain, truncated cone, hollow point, copper plated bullet. The specially designed truncated cone hollow point bullet is utilized because of its “cut off” flat nose design. This bullet design aids in firearm function, as well as providing lethal expansion upon impact. The M42 22LRs also use a reloadable (with the right equipment and instructions), non-corrosive, rimfire primed, highly polished brass case. These rounds have a muzzle velocity of 1320 feet per second, and a muzzle energy of 162-foot pounds. With that much speed on your side and the smaller, heavy hitting bullet, these cartridges are perfect for small game such as rabbits, squirrels, and fox. With this generous 500 round bulk pack, plinking can become a regular family activity, you can spend plenty of time at the range sighting in your rifle, testing your new revolver with heavier loads, or shooting all day at the Rimfire Challenge. Stock your armory full of 22LR today!
