Details

Straight from the former Soviet USSR, imported by WOLF, this Vostok ammunition is one of the nicer 22 Short surplus ammo rounds available. These vintage Super Match Vostok rounds were intended to be used in Olympic rifle and pistol shooting matches. The rounds were built in the 1970’s on new 22 short rimfire non-reloadable brass cases, they are loaded with a 28 grain 22 caliber lead round nose bullet, use non-corrosive primer compounds, and they come ready to shoot in easily portable 50 round boxes. There are 12 boxes of 50 rounds each, making a big brick of 600 total 22 Short cartridges. Perfect for your next day at the range, for your newest 22 Short Target Rifle, or for your little 22 Short mini-revolver.

Multiple rifles and pistols have been produced for the 22 Short since Smith and Wesson brought it to the ammo market 1857. It is known for being the first metallic cartridge that was designed and Made in the USA. The 22 Short was originally designed for the first Smith and Wesson revolver and is currently seeing use as an extreme close-range self-defense round for micro revolvers.

A: Thanks for reaching out Robert! You can fire 22 Short in a semi-automatic pistol like the Walther P22 Q. The catch is that 22 Short will not cycle a 22 LR semi-auto. You will have to load each 22 Short round into the chamber manually, as new rounds will neither fit inside nor feed from the handgun's magazine.

A: Hi Alexander, these .22 shorts have a muzzle velocity of 1150 fps. We do not know what length of test barrel was used, so they may or may not end up being subsonic out of your particular firearm. This is so close to the line, we just cannot give a definitive answer.
