Federal, through their budget line of American Eagle proves, once again, the value of a massive production footprint, integrated production facilities and the power of volume in production, as they release a top tier product at a discounted cost to the end users. All the benefit of the production equipment, protocols and research and development of the Lake City and other plants, and for much less money. True, it is not mil-spec, but it is very good ammunition built on the same machinery and built to an uncompromising standard of consistency and uniformity. American Eagle has a great round here with this AE223GTV (American Eagle .223 Remington Polymer tipped Varmint ammunition).

For the price it will be hard to beat the harmony of accuracy, consistency, reliability, lack of fouling and price point that the American Eagle ammunition possesses. That doesn’t even count the fact that this is a uniformly expanding, proven bullet design that makes this round effective on game animals from groundhogs to pigs and small deer. A brass casing and a Boxer primer makes this an even more compelling buy for a 500 round case lot of ammunition by a premium ammunition producer.
