Details
This is the standard .50 caliber ammo can that has been in service for a very long time. It’s a nicely sized box that can be used as a transport option for range items including pistols. It can also be used for watertight storage and for ammunition that you need to ensure can be protected from the elements. The strong steel construction and the eponymous design of the .50 cal box means that you get exactly the same thing you’re expecting when buying a .50 cal ammo container. They are all the same (from model to model). This particular box is a load of surplus ammo containers from the Lake City plant that may be touched up to cover specific markings on the can. Otherwise it is a straightforward size and construct. The general size dimensions are approximately 12 inches by 6 inches by 7 inches, and the material is steel with an OD green finish and a seal that offers moisture protection for the contents inside.
These are surplus cans, that are not perfect and not new. They are good quality but they may have scratches and wear marks on the finish and minor effects on the steel surface.
