Details

This .223 Remington ammunition from Federal will produce great results in any AR-15 or other firearm chambered in 5.56 NATO or .223 Remington. Expect velocities of approximately 3,240 fps from these 55-grain full metal jacket rounds. Each box holds 20 bulk-packed rounds with Boxer-primed reloadable brass cases.

Federal Premium Ammunition also manufactures 5.56 NATO ammo for the US military at Lake City Army Ammunition Plant and sells excess production under the Federal and American Eagle brands. This ammo is not the same high pressure load as Lake City ammo and will be safe to fire in a wider variety of firearms.

Founded in 1922, Federal Premium Ammunition of Anoka, Minnesota has grown from humble beginnings selling discount ammo at local retailers to become one of the country's top ammunition manufacturers with responsibility for producing ammo for the US military as well as civilian shooters and police officers. The company is currently a division of Alliant Techsystems.
