Ammo Overview

Quantity - 20 rounds per box
Manufacturer - Wolf
Bullets - 62 grain hollow point (HP)
Casings - Berdan primed steel

This 223 Rem cartridge by WOLF Performance Ammunition features a 62 grain hollow point projectile. That’s a little heavier than the caliber’s most common loading of 55 grains, so it will pack a little extra punch on impact. The other thing it will pack is added damage courtesy of the mushrooming provided by its hollow point, so this is as good a cartridge to use while hunting varmints like coyote as it is to enjoy at the range.

This cartridge also offers a Berdan primed steel casing. It’s not reloadable, but the lesser expense of producing steel over brass is reflected by this round’s attractive price tag. As is the case with all ammunition provided under WOLF’s Military Classic label, these cartridges’ casings sport a thin polymer coating that will facilitate their performance while feeding and reloading. This cartridge was manufactured in Russia, although WOLF itself is headquartered in Placentia, CA.
