Originally developed for military use, the .300 AAC Blackout is gaining popularity among hunters who use it with AR-15 based modern sporting rifles (MSRs) and even some bolt action. This boar load from Hornady's Full Boar series is a great example, delivering excellent medium range performance that will please serious hog hunters.
Each cartridge in this box of 20 fires a 110-grain GMX solid copper bullet at a muzzle velocity of 2,350 feet per second. The loss of suppression potential from this supersonic velocity is not a major handicap for a sporting load. The GMX bullet is a deep penetrating projectile capable of defeating the tough hide and bone of wild boars to effect a fast, humane kill. It is entirely lead-free and features a polymer tip that enhances both external and terminal ballistics.
