In the mid 90's I went through an Alphabet Sniper school. This is all I have shot and it has never left me with a flier. I have tried several bullet/round designs and none rack up to what this round has done. I will be hard pressed to use anything else. Rifle is a Remington 700 5R in .308 with a threaded barrel. I've bought several different types of .308 ammo on this site and up until now, I feel like I've somewhat wasted my money... and although it took spending on diff types to learn this lesson, I will tell you that this 168-gr ammo is by far the best ammo for the price... it's extremely accurate and just blows the other stuff away...the 147 and 150 gr ammo just isn't accurate at greater distances, period... buy a little at a time if you must, but just don't waste your money on anything else... I consistently get .75 to 1 MOA groups at 100-200 yards with this ammo from both a Ruger American (22" barrel bolt gun) and a DPMS GII compact hunter (16" barrel). It isn't intended as a hunting round, and there are less expensive rounds for plinking, but this is my "go to" round when I want to focus on improving my shooting technique. I routinely shoot bi-weekly at a 1,000 yd range on the NC / VA border. To really appreciate this ammunition you have to focus on targets past 400 meters in various dynamic conditions. My farthest consistent shots have been 700 yds with both FN bolt and gas guns using NightForce glass. This is the only ammo I ,use in my Springfield S.N.Match, for target shooting, truthfully, that is the only ammo that I ,shoot...Scope is 4-14 x 56 AO/ Mill Dot. W/ All the bells on it. 200 Meters is the Zero. Bagged & Benched , tight it gets, to the point of no fun, as this ammo ,loves this Rifle, or the other way around. It will shoot 4"-6" Groups @ 1000 Meters, and yes this is my # 1 Rifle, and have had it for along time.Now if the wind is blowing, I , don't do as well ,as with any weapon u must adjust for it, now that's, fun 168 gr. I have used some other good ammo in my M&P AR-10, and got pretty good groups. about 2" at 200 yards. But this ammo was getting 3/4" groups at 200 yards consistently, and several rounds that were touching edges on the target. I do not shoot often (enough) to become as proficient at shooting groups as tight as I would like, but with this ammo I am convinced ammo selection makes a world of difference for the better.
This ammo is clean burning, good stuff. I am going to be hard pressed to use anything else, especially when hunting.

use this ammo for my sig 716 patrol, only has a an 18 inch barrel but have 4 inch groups at 300 yards, 5 inch at 400, 7 inch at 500 and 10 inch at 600. The ammo is the best performance wise, I have used this ammo for hogs, varmints, nilgai, and deer. The knockdown power is not as good as the remington core loks, but with the added accuracy, a well placed shot will take down anything in South Texas. (Posted on 2/28/2013)
