A purely innovative .308 cartridge from the Federal premium line; it’s what you’ve come to expect from them. The polymer tip and bonded bullet offer innovation and performance increases in the ballistic coefficient the flight trajectory and the ability to avoid wind drag throughout the flight path until it impacts the target, upon which it will uniformly expand due to the engineered tip that will force uniformity and improve bullet wound channel diameter.

For the .308 in 180 grain, this is a hefty load made for big game and target work, up to and including some of the biggest four-legged game in North America. It will easily handle any deer of any size. The fact that it can also perform well against larger moose and elk makes it quite versatile. Given the right conditions it could be used for other big game, but it may not be enough for the most aggressive species.

A: Thanks for reaching out! Hey, the 308 Win is an excellent black bear hunting cartridge, and this round would absolutely put a black bear down in one shot. If a brown bear was charging you, though? It simply might not prove powerful enough, and that's not a chance you want to take when a half-ton bear is trying to kill you. And keep in mind, we love our repeat customers, so we definitely don't want bears to hurt them. I'm afraid I can not say if or when we plan to carry this particular ammo in bulk.
