These 7.62x51 NATO 175 grain OTM or Open Tip Match rounds are Federal Lake City manufactured Ammunition. The 175 Grain OTM or Open Tip Match bullets are well known for their accuracy and terminal effects. They have Brass Cases with the usual non-corrosive Boxer primers, and they are able to be reloaded and reused more than once. On the underside of each case, stamped around the edges of the bottom of the case are various letters and numbers. There are the letters "LR", and you will also notice the "LC" headstamp on the bottom of the brass. The "LR" means "Long Range" and the "LC" means these are made with LAKE CITY Brass. The Designation on their tags is XM118CS which is a military designation for the NATO 7.62 caliber 175 Grain Long Range rounds. These rounds can be used in .308 Winchester Caliber Firearms, and any firearm with 7.62 NATO stamping of course. According to the info we have collected, these are an over run of purpose built Long Range Sniper Rifle ammunition. The use of the 175 grain OTM bullets with Lake City Brass explains what these are, along with the "LC" and "LR" head stamps.
They come in packs of 20 which allows you the freedom to buy them a bit at a time and try them out. Or, you can just buy hundreds at a time and stock up on actual military overrun sniper ammunition. I know what I would do.
