Speer’s Gold Dot line of ammunition is a great selection for personal protection, and is favored by many members of the law enforcement community as well. This cartridge’s 180 grain jacketed hollow point bullet is formed in two stages. First, the core is pre-fluted to predetermine where its fault lines will lay during expansion. Second, its cavity is finished to control its rate of expansion. This cartridge also offers a reliable and non-corrosive Boxer primer, so you can depend on it whether it’s in your chamber or sitting on your shelf. Its brass casing is suitable for reloading, and sports a nickel plating so it will feed and eject more easily from your cylinder or magazine.

Self-defense experts maintain that the best way to train with your firearm is to use the same exact cartridge that you would when you are forced to defend yourself. If the 40 S&W is your cartridge of choice for your everyday carry, then 1,000 of these hollow points are an excellent investment in your safety.
