Ammo Overview

Quantity - 250 rounds per box; 4 boxes per case
Manufacturer - Remington UMC
Bullets - 180 grain metal case (MC)
Casings - Boxer-primed brass

These are newly manufactured boxer primed brass re-loadable cases. They are loaded with 180 grain bullets which is on the heavier end of the spectrum for 40 S&W. You will receive 4 bulk packages of 250 rounds per container for a total of 1000 rounds. This will make it easy to grab a decent amount of ammo at one time to load up and take to the range!

The UMC line of ammunition was designed to be a high value cartridge choice meant for efficient practice without the bank busting price tag. UMC stands for “Union Metallic Cartridge” and the nomenclature “MC” stand for metal case which is to indicate that this projectile has a copper jacket that completely encases the lead, whereas on an FMJ round the back end is not enclosed. This is great for indoor ranges or confined spaces where the lead dust may not be as easily dissipated.

Remington has been producing ammunition since 1871, and continues to produce their products here in the United States. Offering anything from range ammo to ammunition for self defense and everything in between. You can't go wrong with choosing this Remington UMC line of ammunition for your training needs.

A: The prices we offer are the lowest we can currently bring to the market on sales under $25,000. Not all large purchases by all ammo sites are made at the same prices, which is why price matching would be difficult or even a financial loss in some cases. However, we are confident that the prices we offer are competitive, our shipping speed unparalleled, and the level of customer service we offer unmatched.

A: Both 9mm and .40 S&W cartridges offer a variety of projectile weights - 115gr, 124gr, and 147gr are all common in 9mm, and 155gr, 165gr, and 180gr are all common for .40 S&W. Generally speaking, higher velocity, lower mass projectiles with expanding bullet designs will penetrate less in soft tissue than lower velocity, higher mass projectiles with expanding bullet designs. However, penetration with the lower mass projectiles may not be sufficient to reach vital organs in certain cases.

A: The 180gr load is a little slower (approximately 1000fps vs 1150), but made to the same standards and should exhibit similar accuracy when compared to the 165gr load.
