An exceptional value for a very good self defense round, that offers everything you’re looking for in a .45 ACP personal defense ammo. The high grain weight and the proven projectile make it a very good choice for a one shot stop. 230 grains of bonded jacketed hollow point and a reasonable velocity and energy level ensures this is a good candidate for any .45 carry weapon.
The relatively aggressive projectile offers good proven expansion and relatively good penetration, even though it is a heavier, slower load. The potency of this round is the heavy hitting high grain weight and large wound channel potential. Heavier and slower doesn’t mean anemic: it in fact, offers 835 feet per second, a very respectable number for a heavy projectile, and nearly 360 ft. lbs of energy at the muzzle, meaning that you can reasonably expect hard hitting performance round after round, when it counts.
Considering it’s hard to find ball ammunition with this high of reliability, let alone the ballistics of this load, the value is hard to match. %0 rounds fills a lot of magazines for the money.
