A bulk case lot purchase of 750 rounds of the proven military clone round by Wolf WPA for the 55 grain soft pointed projectile in the 5.45x39mm cartridge. This is a high-end product that is ridiculously cheap to buy. The potency of the round for its purpose (wounding soldiers on the battlefield to increase resource utilization by the opposing force) has been well documented and is one of the reasons it is still in major distribution for military’s and special groups all around the world.

The AK-74 and its host of clones around the world shoot this inexpensive round that is cheaper to buy new than it is to reload. It’s one of very few rounds to make that claim and it is surprisingly affordable compared even to the massive volume production of .223 Remington/5.56x45mm. It features similar ballistics in short and moderate ranges and offers an excellent plinking, target and defensive weapon if configured in certain ways.

The 55 grain soft pointed projectile is suitable for small and moderate range varmint hunting, and while the cartridge is potentially able to dispatch larger animals such as deer and the like, it is generally hindered by local and state regulations for minimum caliber requirements. Check your local area regulations to be sure before you plan a hunting trip based around the caliber.
