Wolf’s WPA military classic line delivers in a big way on this proven cartridge. It produces an experience and price point that is so close to the original imports of mil-spec ammunition from the Eastern Blok countries that the differences are virtually non-existent. The same accuracy, reliability and cheap shooting as the Spam Cans of yesteryear. The 5.45x39 ammunition from Wolf WPA offers a 60 grain projectile and steal casing with Berdan primers just like the ammunition we all know and love.
This cartridge is actually better, because the non -corrosive powders and primers that are used now, instead of the powders used in the 1970’s-1990’s in military surplus stuff. Berdan primers offer very reliable ignition for hard hitting firing pins and the ballistics on the 5.45x39 by Wolf are every bit as good as the original line.
Purpose built for the AK variants, this round actually prefers the looser tolerances of AK’s and the heavy extraction of the platform. It is however also suitable for AR uppers and other new platforms seeking to take advantage of the cheap pricing of 5.45x39 ammunition.
