This 5.45x39mm cartridge from WOLF Performance Ammunition’s Military Classic line was manufactured in Russia. True to the country’s fashion it has a steel casing, which means it’s ideal for use in looser tolerance rifles with heavy springs and aggressive extraction cycles. Its rugged Berdan primer prefers being struck by a heavy firing pin, a trait that grants it a high degree of reliability. The casing has been given a fine layer of polymer coating, which serves to help it feed and eject with certainty.
This round has a 60 grain full metal jacketed projectile. The bullet’s jacket will let you forego a good degree of fouling in your barrel, so you may enjoy accurate shots at longer intervals in between cleanings. This caliber was invented by the Soviet Union to be fired from the AK-74 rifle that they invented in 1974 -- as such, this round is perfectly suited for the gun and a great selection to fire from it.
