Details

These 5.56mm NATO rounds from Winchester were manufactured at the Lake City plant which has long been responsible for the bulk of ammunition supplied to the U.S. military for training purposes and actual operations. As such, these rounds are assembled using components that make them nearly identical to the lightweight M193 load which shoots flatly and exhibits very little recoil. Parts include 55-grain full metal jacket (FMJ) projectiles with toothed cannelures that will resist setback and jostling for optimal accuracy and dependability under any conditions. The FMJ bullet is ideal for training, zeroing new sights, and doing high-volume drills without shooting up a stash of expensive self-defense or hunting loads.

Each projectile is crimped into a reloadable brass casing that possesses a strong and flexible shoulder area thanks to its factory heat treatment. The case body is filled with clean-burning propellant while the case's base pocket is mounted with a non-corrosive Boxer primer; these primers are made without mercury or other caustic elements which could otherwise cause undue damage to a rifle. Because this ammo uses lightweight bullets and uniform components, shooters will find it an exceptionally versatile load for use in semi-automatic, break-action, and bolt-action rifles of any barrel length or twist rate.
