This 6.5mm Creedmoor ammo by Remington is the hunting ammunition you've been searching for. Remington's Core-Lokt line of ammo includes a wide range of calibers and bullet styles that feature projectiles with mechanically locked cores. This technique improves the weight retention of the bullet which translates to deeper penetration and greater stopping power.

Each one of the 20 cartridges in this box of 6.5mm Creedmoor ammo is snugly fitted with a 140gr pointed soft point bullet; the PSP is for shooters who want the flat trajectories of a Spitzer-style bullet but with the expansion and knockdown power of a soft-point. These rounds carry a muzzle velocity of 2700 fps and a corresponding energy transfer of 2267 ft/lbs. Remington uses Boxer-primed brass casings for these particular rounds. The casings are non-corrosive, new production, and reloadable.

The Core-Lokt line has been the ammo of choice many serious hunters since 1939. When you go out on the trail to bag your trophy buck, make sure you're prepared with this 6.5mm Creedmoor hunting ammo.

A: While the 6.5 will certainly do the job, it is generally accepted that it is on the lower end of the black bear power scale. If you are expecting trophies at high weights, you might consider a different caliber. It is generally accepted that any caliber that is sufficient for whitetail deer is good for black bear.
