Each round in the 500-round case carries a 123 grain jacketed hollow point (JHP) bullet. The bullet is designed with a lead core under a magnetic bi-metal alloy jacket. The cartridge’s case is made of steel with a brass plating that mimics the performance of brass cased rounds and gives Golden Bear ammo its name. The cartridge is primed with a non-corrosive berdan primer. Berdan primed rounds are not reloadable.
Golden Bear ammo is manufactured in Russia’s Barnaul Cartridge Plant. It’s part of their BEAR line with also includes the zinc-coated Silver Bear ammo and lacquered Brown Bear.
