Details
A high performance cartridge for a high-performance caliber. This is the super high-quality Barnes VOR-TX load which utilizes the TSX (Triple Shock X) projectile which is legendary among the monolithic all copper bullets for high weight retention, hard hitting energy transfer and incredible accuracy.
But the features of the TSX don’t stop there for users of the 7mm Remington Magnum and other heavy loads, especially magnums. The reduced fouling and lower contact surface area of the bullet can contribute positively to your barrel life, which for Magnums are generally quite low 2-5k shots usually. Sure, it’s going to be hard to shoot even 2,000 rounds of ammunition through any magnum due to recoil considerations and price of ammunition in general, but the reduced fouling and high quality balanced specifications will reduce the wear and tear on your bore, to enable you to pass these guns to other generations if you wish.
Of course, this belted magnum offering has premium brass, and the Boxer primer makes it easy to stockpile brass for reloading, which can offset some of the high cost of this ammunition. It should be noted however, that this ammunition is not simply expensive because of the fact that Barnes makes it. It’s expensive because it takes a lot to produce the substantial cases of a belted magnum cartridge casing and it takes a lot of material to make the projectile, primer and other components.
