Successfully proven as a legitimate self-defense and duty round for years this may as well be a rebadging for Remington used to remarket for this already proven entity of a round: the JHP by Remington in 9mm +P in a 115 grain configuration. It sets the standard for penetration in gelatin. The uniformly expanding projectile gives excellent deformation for a wider more devastating wound channel, and the proven reliability of the +P to function in hard to function firearms means it is a great addition to your self-defense ammo contender list.
NOTE: this is a +P round. It observes much higher pressure at the chamber and bore than other 9mm standard loads. Please consult your firearm manual to determine if this round is suitable for use in your firearm.
16 inches of penetration; a velocity of over 1225 feet per second and nearly 400 ft. lbs. of energy at the muzzle proves that this is a hot round capable of excellent stopping power.
This duty round is seemingly a rebranding effort by Remington, but maybe that doesn’t matter, because when you can produce the same results as the “new ammo” but you've been doing it for years, maybe a rebrand will talk some sense into those who haven’t yet realized the benefits of using your ammunition offering.
