Details

For many years Speer Law Enforcement duty rounds set a hard to reach standard in civilian based 9x19 ammunition for penetration, uniformity in expansion and for performance in a variety of conditions. Speer attributes this to their rigorous testing and research and development that is so closely tied to their law enforcement contract ammunition program. This information from, and interaction with the law enforcement professionals, allows Speer a lot of insight and real-world data that can improve their lineup exponentially. They aren’t the only company with extensive law enforcement interaction, but their commitment to the segment and their many years of leading the field for volume in the segment seems to have paid off.

This is a heavily penetrating 124 grain projectile that has excellent uniformity in expansion and delivers very nice terminal ballistics on target. The static ballistics denote the capability as well with the following numbers being prominent contributors: 1150 feet per second velocity out of the muzzle and 364 ft. lbs. of energy delivered.

When you absolutely must have the best ammunition in your firearm, you need to be using a round made with the very characteristics that from the basic foundation of the Speer Gold Dot. The purposeful build for short barrels, makes this even better tailored to concealed carry and personal protection.
