Do you carry Speer Gold Dot 9mm 135 grain JHP (product no. 24260) for personal protection? Then you’ve just found the very same ammo Speer specifically designed to deliver the closest feel and point of aim as your defense ammo. You’ve gotta train with Lawman!
This ammo’s great even if you’d previously never heard of Gold Dot. Its 135 grain projectiles attain just low enough muzzle velocity to qualify as subsonic, making it JUST DANDY for suppressed firearms. Better yet, this ammo is loaded with total metal jacket projectiles. The bottom of the TMJ’s lead core is jacketed – hence the bullet’s inability to produce lead gas that you don’t want inside your lungs (or barrel, or indoor gun range). Compare that to an FMJ, which lacks the jacketed base it needs to avoid producing lead gas during ignition, and it’s easy to appreciate why the TMJ is the indoor range shooter’s target bullet of choice.
This ammo is made in Idaho. We’d like to go back to Coeur d'Alene someday. Have a beer. Look at the lake. Maybe check out the Museum of North Idaho. It’d be nice.
