This cartridge’s 115 grain bullet is a full metal jacket. Its design includes a round nose profile copper-alloy jacket, a lead core with an exposed base, and zero steel that could upset the rangemaster of a range which bans “magnetic bullets.” Its light weight enabled the bullet’s manufacturer to invest fewer raw materials into its production, and also guarantees the supersonic muzzle velocity which precedes a flat trajectory.
Winchester’s not trying to trick anyone into buying corrosive primers or reloaded cases. These rounds are loaded with the same kind of noncorrosive Boxer primers that are used in the USA, and their brass cases are fresh as monkey’s breath.
