- 20 Rounds of 7.62x51mm Ammo by Sellier & Bellot - 147gr FMJ
Details
Sellier & Bellot joins nearly two centuries worth of experience with their partnership in the simply massive Companhia Brasileira de Cartuchos to provide quality, affordable ammunition throughout the world. This box of 7.62x51mm cartridges is fit for duty the next time you wish to further educate yourself on riflery at the range, although because they are battle proven M80 rounds they’re not the worst thing to have loaded in your weapon for self-defense in a pinch.
These cartridges have 147 grain bullets, which wear full metal jackets to ensure they snake through the bore without fouling it too rapidly. A giant like Sellier & Bellot knows how to make cores uniform and jackets concentric -- you’ll have to attribute a miss to some other factor, such as the wind or a poorly timed hiccup. These rounds’ Boxer primers are both responsive and non-corrosive, and their casings are brand new and ideal for handloading.

It's good, but weak crimp

The cases are barely crimped into the bullet, almost not crimped at all. Now, this isn't the end of the world but I did have a jam bad enough to lodge the bullet clear into the case (rifles fault, mag seat issue) so for what it's worth, the ammo fired with no issues and seemed plenty accurate enough. I'm just surprised that a NATO designated would come without a robust crimp on the bullet. Maybe they are sending us factory seconds? Who knows, it's a bad time to be picky though. Bulkammo gets five stars as per usual. (Posted on 3/10/2022)

Was hoping these would have acceptable accuracy for bolt gun work, nope. 2 to 3 inch groups at 100 yards. They all shot and fed well but not for a accuracy. (Posted on 1/6/2020)
