420 Rounds of 5.56x45 Ammo by Federal American Eagle in Ammo Can - 62gr FMJBT XM855

Out of Stock

Ammo Overview

Ammo Quantity - 420 rounds per ammo can
Ammo Manufacturer - Federal
Projectiles - 62 grain full metal jacket boat tail (FMJBT) XM855
Ammo Casings - Boxer-primed brass

This 5.56x45 cartridge by Federal fits neatly within the XM855 designation. It would have been a M193 if not for the addition of its seven grain steel tip, which is painted green for easy identification at a glance. That makes it magnetic, but it more importantly makes it better able to penetrate a sheet of metal at a respectable distance. Moreover, the XM855 sports a boat tail to keep its trajectory flatter downrange as well as to help it resist having its course unsettled by cross and vertical winds.

An American Eagle round’s brass casing is made with the uniformity that guarantees smooth cycling in a semi-automatic firearm, and is supple enough to sustain repeated reloading. These 420 cartridges are packaged in a steel ammo can, a worthy addition to your arsenal in its own right for its ability to guard its contents against water and sand over prolonged periods of storage.
