Speer Gold Dot Short Barrel will turn any 22 Magnum handgun into an effective tool for defense. Doesn’t matter if 22 Mag is your primary or backup. Doesn’t matter if you have a 22 WMR pistol that you might theoretically one day use for defense, either. If you can fire it, then you need this ammo!
Look inside a police officer’s handgun magazine, and you might just find Gold Dot bullets. This little round’s 40 grain projectile started out as a lead core. The kernel was soaked in electrified chemical water until it had a true bonded jacket – the reason why it’s so unusually tough. That’s also why the JHP is able to couple terminal expansion with sufficient penetration depth to neutralize an assailant.
Speer designs this ammo for ideal functionality in all handguns with 2” or longer barrels. Its bullets and slick nickel-plated brass cases both feed real nice in semi-automatics, but your little revolver can definitely get in on the action, too!
