Joyce Hornady may have had high aspirations when he fired up his enterprise in the late ‘40s, but even the biggest optimist in the world couldn’t have anticipated how awesome Hornady would become. This 308 Win round represents the culmination of Nebraska’s best work, with a high BC 168 grain hollow point boat tail bullet that’s optimal for target shooting.

This round’s bullet features a remarkably concentric jacket for in-flight balance. Its hollow point isn’t meant to promote expansion, but rather indicates the bullet’s uniformly dense core and jacketed base. That base is also tapered, enabling it to slip through the air for greater speed at greater distances, and improved wind drift resistance to boot.

This is a match round in full, with the select brass, scientifically formulated and weighed clean burning propellant, and sensitive primer you need to do heroic stuff at the rifle range. Even a whole case of these master rounds won’t prove enough!
