The V-MAX bullet is designed with a strong copper jacket, narrow hollow nose cavity, and red polymer tip which acts as a windshield; an overall aerodynamic shape combined with the Superformance's trademark velocity results in flat-shooting characteristics for easier hits on jackals, groundhogs, and other varmints at a distance. Upon impact with a thin-skinned game animal, the V-MAX bullet will experience rapid fragmentation that delivers lethal energy to the nerves and organs for a quick and humane kill. Hornady has been around since 1949 and is so successful at bullet design that many other manufacturers use bullets like the V-MAX in their finished ammunition.

20"barrel, shoots lights out . just recently shot a crow of a hay bail
ranged 362yds, by range finder. I hand load for 204, but this was a factory 40gr, Hornady. Great ammo. (Posted on 1/20/15)
