Ammo Overview

Ammo Quantity - 20 rounds per box
Ammo Manufacturer - Winchester Ranger
Bullets - 64 grain Power Point (PP)
Ammo Casings - Boxer-primed brass

Winchester’s Power Point ammunition uses a soft point bullet with a partial jacket notched to promote expansion in targets. This .223 Remington load will serve well for home defense as well as medium sized game hunting. The heavy 64 grain bullet leaves the muzzle at 3,020 feet per second, giving up only about 200 fps to the standard 55 grain load in exchange for stronger penetration. Each cartridge in this 20-round box uses Boxer-primed reloadable brass cases.

Winchester, a division of the Olin company, has operated since 1855 when it began producing firearms and ammunition as the Winchester Repeating Arms Company. Today, the company licenses the manufacture of its venerable designs to FN and Browning while continuing to develop some of the world’s top ammunition loads. In 2011, the Federal Bureau of Investigation selected the company’s PDX1 rounds as the latest of many cartridges to become the “FBI load.” The company’s products also see significant use with local law enforcement agencies and the Border Patrol.
