This is a well-known load for the .308 Winchester, with the cartridge having sold millions of rounds in the preceding decades. A FMJ 147 grain projectile in a brass case with a Boxer primer and a moderate ballistic performance, this is a stalwart part of the Winchester White Box line that offers high quality reliable ammunition at affordable prices that have proven track records in a wide range of firearms.
The 147 grain weight is a good grain weight for most purposes and will not have negative impact on the accuracy and performance for any mainstream firearm chambered in the .308 Winchester caliber. Suitable for hunting and appropriate for moderate and large game (where acceptable to hunt with a lead core FMJ), this is a relatively strong round. The load shoots slightly dirty but the overall reliability is very good.
