Ammo Overview

Quantity - 20 rounds per box
Manufacturer - Winchester Ammunition Company
Bullet - 180 grain Power Point (PP)
Casing - Boxer-primed brass

Tracking and successfully hunting large game is one of the most demanding disciplines in the world of large bore rifle shooting. With the introduction of the Winchester 180gr .308 power point ammunition, hunting large game no longer has to be a large challenge.

The Winchester 180 grain .308 power point ammunition was engineered with one characteristic in mind, expansion. The exposed lead core beyond the forward tip of the heavy copper jacket results in a devastating degree of expansion upon formation of the terminally cavity. The bilateral compression of the lead core first against the target, and secondly rearward against the copper jacket result in a truly devastating degree of expansion out to twice the original diameter of the bullet.

At an average muzzle velocity of 2,743 per second, this Winchester 180 gr. 308 Rem. is capable of creating a temporal cavity of 18x the diameter of the permanent wound track, resulting in an absolutely devastating degree of hydrostatic shock. Perfect for hunting even the largest of game within the continental United States, the Winchester 180gr .308 PP is a serious hunting round built for hunters looking to take their game to the next level.
