When you need very consistent ammunition to shoot out of your AR at the range, whether it be for sighting in optics, hitting paper or steel targets down range, or for when you want to baby your expensive rifles, the 52 grain OTFB Branes “RangeAR” cartridge is a very solid choice.
Classic in appearance, but highly consistent and help to rigorous standards in the Barnes production facilities, this ammo is a perfect companion when you want less cleanup, more accuracy and better functionality in your AR platform rifles. It is not suitable for the .223 Remington, only the chamber of the 5.56x45mm, which denotes a couple things about the specificity of the load: it is made to SAAMI Specifications and it is meant to reliably feed/extract/eject based on the throat specifics and pressures of the 5.56.
The 52 grain bullet works well in barrel twists of all types from 1:9 and slower (it can be used in 1:8 or 1:7 twists but it’s optimized for slower twist rates). Impeccable quality control standards means you can collect precision, reloadable brass after you shoot these boxer primed cartridges.
Suitable in firearms marked “5.56x45mm”.
