Details

This match grade 5.56 NATO ammo from Black Hills Ammunition is optimized for pinpoint accuracy and consistent ballistics in AR-15s and other .223 Rem/5.56 rifles. These cartridges fire polymer-tipped Sierra MatchKing bullets, which have helped many competitive shooters earn their trophies. MatchKings have a boat tailed profile that provides excellent resistance to crosswinds, reducing the difference between the point of impact and the point of aim when such outside forces are present.

Each cartridge in this box of 50 propels a 77-grain version of the MatchKing to a muzzle velocity of 2,750 feet per second. Like most match grade loads, this ammo sacrifices velocity for a higher bullet weight; the heavy projectile's stability proves to be a greater asset in competitive conditions than a flatter trajectory.

Black Hills Ammunition of Rapid City, South Dakota is a well-known manufacturer of ammo for hunting, defense, and competition. They are known for supplying all branches of the US military with specialized, high-end ammunition.

A: I certainly believe so! The MatchKing has been used to win more target competitions than all target bullets from other manufacturers combined, and Black Hills loads extremely consistent ammo.
