Remington had a big hit on their hands when they introduced the Core-Lokt all the way back in the ‘30s. Now, over eight decades later, they’re following up that act with the new and improved Core-Lokt Tipped!

This 30-06 cartridge’s 165 grain bullet still boasts the Core-Lokt’s locked together core and jacket. The two components resist separating from one another following impact, which helps the bullet conserve the momentum it needs to tunnel all the way to a large animal’s vital organs. The Core-Lokt Tipped bullet features a thin jacket rim, a hollow point nose cavity and, quite naturally, a polymer tip. They all work hand in hand to deliver the lethal terminal expansion which can end any hunt successfully.

This is a match accurate cartridge. Its bullet’s tip, ballistic jacket profile and boat tail all minimize drag, and its rearward center of gravity and superlative jacket concentricity both enhance rotational stability. Once the bullet clears the muzzle at a velocity of 2,820 fps, its 0.447 G1 ballistic coefficient will prevent its trajectory to a 200-yard target from rising higher than about 2.55”. If you’re a long-range hunter, this ammo will keep your trajectory supersonic until approximately 1,100 yards! And if you’re a handloader, then you’ll love the polished brass cases this ammo will spit out of your rifle.
