The AR-15 sometimes doesn’t seem like it was introduced as a versatile and modifiable shooting platform. Rather, it feels like a machine designed to use up bullets as quickly as possibly, an attribute which anyone who owns one will attest to. Fortunately, these 1,000 Bosnia and Herzegovina military surplus rounds of will keep your rifle well-supplied for a long time to come. And although the country is near the former Soviet Union, they hadn’t enough to do with it to make their cartridges with steel casings -- these factory fresh brass cased rounds are fully reloadable, adding considerable value to handloaders.

True to the Ball, M193 type of ammunition, this cartridge sports a 55 grain projectile with a lead alloy core and gilded metal jacket. That metal jacket will permit longer shooting sessions in between cleanings, so you’ll be able to focus on your aim at the range instead of your bore.

A: Hello Frank, These 55gr. FMJ rounds in 5.56 do not have a steel core. They have a lead core, copper jacket, and a brass case. They are safe to shoot on ranges that do not allow magnetic rounds.
